How spaced repetition works
After you flip each flashcard, you grade your own recall. The grade sets when you'll see the card next: easy cards drift weeks into the future, shaky ones return tomorrow, and forgotten ones come right back. Over time the deck converges on showing you each word at the moment you're about to forget it — which is exactly when reviewing it does the most good.
Blanked on it. The card resets and comes back within the same session.
Got there, but slowly. The interval grows only a little.
Recalled it. 1 day, then 3 days, then the interval multiplies each time.
Instant. The card jumps ahead even further and gets easier to keep.
